I started this blog last January to be a place where people could come for market updates, local mortgage related news, and tips to help them through the home buying and mortgage process. I recently took a brief break from the blog, but am back and ready to help. I hope to continue helping local residents with all things mortgage related.

Buying a house is one of the biggest financial decisions you will make, and the process can be intimidating. But like anything, knowledge can help make this an understandable process. I remember the first time I had work done on my car; I was nervous that my car was in someone else’s hands, and that I had to trust in their expertise. When my car was fixed I got a bill that I did not understand, and the more the mechanic tried to explain the technical terminology, the more confused I was. It seemed really expensive, but I did not have the knowledge to argue. After that, I began to learn a little more about cars, and came to realize that I was right – I was overcharged.

But that was with a small engine repair on an old car, not a house purchase. I take pride in never letting a client sit down at closing without understanding the ins and outs of the paperwork they are signing, and I hope to share that knowledge with everyone reading this.

If you have any questions about the mortgage or home buying process, please contact me or leave a comment, and I will help in any way I can.
