Home ownership creates confidence in where your family will live into the foreseeable future; should you decide to move, it will be on your terms, not your landlord’s. I recently had a client in Southfield, for instance, who bought a house because she had relocated 3 times in the past 2 years due to issues with the apartments and the landlords. Tired of uprooting her children, she decided to buy a house.

I remember in my younger days when I was renting, it seemed like every time I built a social network around me, either I was moving or my friends were moving.
