The Paradigm is Shifting

Shifting a paradigm. What does that mean? Why is it important? Just like any sector of business, Real Estate is one full of paradigms.

In this case lets qualify a paradigm as a certain set of procedures that dictate the operation and flow of business. To be specific, we are talking about the current process in which a consumer buys a home. The Marc Edelstein team has identified this as a paradigm that needs to be shifted, or just out-right flipped.

Let me first tell you how we came to this conclusion. When 2015 landed on our doorstep we re-evaluated everything. A massive discovery was made. We found ourselves. Every business has their “one thing”. It’s what they are about and it’s not just their product. For example, Disney isn’t just about movies it’s about magic. Apple isn’t just about technology it’s about innovation. Marc Edelstein isn’t just about mortgage lending he’s about confidence; your confidence in purchasing your dream home. With our expertise and practices, we educate each client so they have the utmost confidence in their pending experience.

Every year, we try to improve not only our process but also how well we serve the needs of our clients. What we have realized is that in order to take the next step we need to re-appropriate the order of business, thus the paradigm shift. So many potential homebuyers contact a realtor when they start thinking about buying a home. Why, because shopping is fun, for most. How much fun is it to look at a home and visualize what you can do to improve/modify it, what colors would look good, who would have what bedroom, imagining the endless potential memories. Picture Christmas morning with adults. But, wouldn’t it be nice to shop for your dream home knowing what you can afford, potential payments, interest rates, and potential PMI costs? This is why engaging your mortgage lender first is crucial. Having a lender on your side from day 1 creates a worry free precedent for home buying. It allows our process and expertise to not only build confidence but also eliminate potential letdown from finding your dream home before knowing you can afford it.

In conclusion, having a lender on your side from the start helping you get your offer accepted is a no-brainer. We call the sellers agent and let them know how strong of buyer our client is. Having that personal touch early in the process could be the difference of our clients purchasing their dream home. As you can see, the paradigm must shift.
